Walker Undresses Looking HBO
'CASTING': When this entertainer got 'the call' the 'casting agent' asked was I 'nude willing'? - a term never heard before by this old pro. Of course the 'pay bump' to perform naked on 'major cable TV' was a great deal higher than the regular 'extra' rate. (Concerning one's talent, things haven't changed much in 'The Industry'.) Being in need of money, like most full time 'performers', you know I said "yes". Once arriving on 'set' the 'costumer' looked at my package, gave me a modern day leather 'cod piece' stating - "sometimes showing all but the thing is even sexier'! What do you think?
'PLAYING' ON 'SET': Folk are always talking about our work being "fun". Personally, I find 'acting' to be no more "fun" than the work done by any other professional that loves their field. It's still work . . . as novice 'extras' often conclude at about the seventh (7th) hour on a long day of 'shooting'. However, I found that working for "LOOKING", all day long, at the world's wildest fair, was actually fun! It's been some time since I attended San Francisco's Folsom Street Fair. Can't wait to see what 'Hollywood' does with it.
PAYMENT DELAY: One of the greatest things about working in major 'Hollywood' produced 'projects' is that 'talent' almost never have to wonder if or even when they will be paid as agreed. Don't know what's up with the "LOOKING" business office but it took forever to get paid. In fact, I fear that without my calling 'EFS' (for both of my checks), perhaps to this day I still would not have been paid. With each call I was told by 'EFS' that they were "waiting for approval". Lesson to be learned: never assume even well financed 'producers' will deliver as promised.
